Emyr and Dafydd Hughes' Woodcarvers is a father-and-son business founded in 1983. Emyr, a Master Woodcarver, is based in Staunton, Gloucestershire while Dafydd does his carving in Aberavon, South Wales.

The Hughes' are proud to keep alive the traditional art of woodcarving, using a wide range of ancient and modern techniques, styles and materials. A range of services are offered to clients, with projects of all sizes considered:

Sustainability and Environmental Considerations

The Hughes' endeavour to locally source wood and to the best of their ability use reclaimed wood from the floor joists of old houses, from churches and from dismantled barns, as it is important to not destroy remaining wooded areas and natural habitats.
